What should I do when I first receive my bundles?

Co-wash hair after removing it from the packaging to clean hair and maintain luster.

What type of shampoos/conditioners should not be used on hair?

Avoid shampoos and conditioners that contain sulfates, alcohol, sodium chloride, formaldehyde, and synthetic fragrances.

How do I reduce tangles when shampooing hair?

When shampooing hair, always massage product downward to reduce disturbance of cuticles on hair shaft. Never ruffle hair strands as it increases hair tangles and matting.

What water temperature is recommended for hair?

When shampooing hair, always shampoo using lukewarm water. When rinsing conditioner from hair, always rinse using cold water.

What size comb is recommended for detangling hair?

Detangle wet or dry hair using a wide toothed comb starting from ends to weft.

How should I allow hair to dry?

After rinsing conditioner from hair, allow hair to air dry to preserve luster of hair and sealed cuticles. This method also reduces frizz and matting.

Should I apply any products to my hair before using heat such as a flat iron?

Always use a heat protectant when using heating tools to protect hair from damage.

What type of oils should I apply to my hair?

Always use hair serums on hair if needed to add shine. Heavy moisturizing creams, hair grease, or heavy oils can weigh the hair down, reduce volume, and cause product buildup.

How should I care for my hair for bedtime?

To reduce tangling over night, section hair and create pin curls. Secure pin curls to scalp using a pin curl clamp or bobby pin. Cover hair with a silk bonnet to reduce tangles and to maintain luster. Using a silk or satin pillowcase is recommended as well.
